Our Journey

Behind East Coast Marine

Hi, we’re Justin and Leigh Burney, owners and operators of East Coast Marine in Hubert, NC. We are a family-owned company that is constantly growing and changing. I was born and raised in the Onslow, Carteret county area. Upon gradutating from West Carteret High, I attended Marine Mechanics Institute in Orlando, Florida, where I graduated first in my class. After graduation I returned home and started my career with two other local marinas.

In 2012, East Coast Marine was established with the help of my family and friends. In the past eight years many things have changed. My wife Leigh has joined the business as my office manager and partner. Others have also joined the business that have proven to be incredible assets to this company. East Coast Marine is continuing to evolve to meet the needs of our customers. We provide a wide range of sales, services and repairs. We are an authorized Suzuki Marine dealer and proud dealer of Coastal Skiff and Coastal Flat boats.  Our mission is to provide the best solutions to meet our coustomers’ boating needs.
